The Role
This redeveloped role is perfectly balanced between hands on accounting, and true business partnering providing fantastic diversification & exposure. The key components of the role will include:
Finance Business Partnering
*Involvement in high profile & value projects
*Business partnering with senior & non-financial stakeholders
*Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow analysis
*Financial analysis - KPI’s, costs, variance analysis, etc.
Accounting
*Assisting with monthly management accounts
*Ensuring robust month and year-end close & annual audit preparation
*Ownership of capital expenditure projects
*Balance sheet integrity & reconciliations
*Maintenance of fixed asset register
*Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems

Candidate Profile
It’s imperative the successful individual has excellent communication and stakeholder managements skills so they can interact, engage and influence with both senior & non-financial stakeholders.
The preference is strongly for a qualified Accountant, although they are willing to consider individuals only a few exams away and demonstrate utter commitment to becoming a qualified Accountant.
The employer is willing to consider individuals from one of the following backgrounds:
*An individual that trained & qualified within an Accountancy Firm/Practice and seeking their first inhouse move into industry
Or
*An individual that came up through the ranks of inhouse industry finance.
