Job Description:
Humanities Teacher
*Location: Northampton
*Start Date: January 2025
*Job Type: Long-term contract
We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher with a specialism in Geography, History, or Religious Education to join a supportive secondary school in Northampton. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who is ready to engage and inspire students across various learning levels.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver compelling Humanities lessons tailored to the diverse needs of pupils.
*Assess and evaluate classwork, providing feedback to senior staff and implementing strategies to help pupils achieve their goals.
*Address and manage challenging behaviours in accordance with the school’s policies, promoting positive behaviour management techniques.
*Contribute to the development of Schemes of Work that align with the National Curriculum for Humanities.
*Foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*A degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a related field.
*Experience teaching secondary students up to A-level standard.
*Confidence in planning and delivering high-quality lessons.
*An enhanced child-only DBS check.
