Location: Leicester
Shift: Days
Pay Rate: £14-£15 per hour

Our Client:
An established engineering company in the Leicestershire area are looking for a skilled CNC Lathe Setter/Operator/Programmer to join their dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision parts. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC turning programming and the ability to work with tight tolerances.
Responsibilities:
*Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications
*Program CNC lathes using Fanuc Control Programmes
*Select and install appropriate cutting tools and fixtures
*Monitor the machining process to ensure quality and make necessary adjustments
*Inspect finished parts to verify conformance to quality standards
*Maintain a clean and safe work environment
*Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and workflow
Experience & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a CNC lathe setter/operator/programmer
*Proficiency in CNC turning programming
*Experience with Leadwell
*Experience with Mori Seki and Lynx Machines is desirable
*In-depth knowledge of machining processes and cutting tool selection
*Ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
*Strong attention to detail and quality control
*Good communication and collaboration skills
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is a plus
*Certification in CNC machining or related field is desirable
Day-to-day:
*Set up CNC lathes for production runs
*Program CNC lathes to produce parts with precision and accuracy
*Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as needed
*Collaborate with colleagues to optimize production workflow
*Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and conformance to specifications
*Maintain a clean and organized work area
*Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement
