Job Description:
Head of Finance Part time (14-21 hours per week)
Salary: competitive
Our client is an independent charity combating domestic abuse in East Surrey. As Head of Finance, you’ll provide strategic financial advice, manage finances, and support decision-making reporting into the CEO.
Head of Finance - What will I be doing?
*Financial and management accounting
*Financial strategic management
*Stakeholder reporting
*Budgeting and forecasting
*Grant management
Head of Finance - What experience do I need?
*You will need to be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
*Previous financial leadership experience in order to be able to advise the CEO and Board on all financials matters
*You should have the ability to explain complex financial matters in simple terms for staff and trustees
*Charitable sector experience and understanding of restricted and unrestricted funding (desirable)
*Experience in preparing management accounts, budgets & forecasts
*Treasury experience (desirable)
*Excellent IT skills (Excel, Word)
*You will need to have outstanding attention to detail and be able to work autonomously
*Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with kindness, honesty and integrity in line with the charity’s ethos.
Head of Finance - What else do I need to know?
The role requires a commitment of 14 hours per week, but this could increase up to 21 hours. There is flexibility on the working pattern, but half of the hours will be working in the Redhill office. Ater the induction period is complete there will be an option for some remote working. NB This position is restricted to female applicants in accordance with Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9 (part 1).
