Job Description:
HR Business Partner *Hourly Rate: £29.11
*Location: Wakefield
*Job Type: Contract (with potential for permanent placement)
Join our team in a transformative phase under the guidance of a new Service Director. We are looking for an HR Business Partner to provide crucial support during a period of organisational change and financial challenges. This role involves advising on workforce planning and a variety of business-as-usual activities. While experience in the public sector is not essential, the ability to engage confidently with senior management and overcome barriers efficiently is crucial.
Day-to-day of the role: *Provide HR support and guidance to various directorates during both organisational change and routine operations.
*Work closely with senior managers to develop effective workforce strategies that align with the council’s financial and operational goals.
*Address and resolve complex HR issues, offering strategic solutions to enhance performance and efficiency.
*Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure they meet the needs of the organisation and comply with legal standards.
*Support the execution of HR projects and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered within scope and on time.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role.
*Ability to build rapport quickly with senior management and work effectively under pressure.
*Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to navigate through barriers to deliver results.
*Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*Flexibility and adaptability to manage a range of tasks and meet deadlines.
*Knowledge of HR practices and principles, with a readiness to learn and adapt to the specific needs of the public sector.
Benefits: *Flexible working hours between 7 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week.
