Job Description:
Senior Management Accountant – Alfreton - £50,000 - £55,000

We are currently working on behalf of a successful, well respected manufacturing business based in Alfreton who are looking for an interim Senior Management Accountant to join their strong finance team for an initial 3 – 4-month contract.
This role forms part of the Finance Team responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient operational and commercial financial information to support the business in key decision making.

Key responsibilities:
*Preparation of monthly management accounts for subsidiaries and group management accounts reporting
*Responsible for valuation and aging of stock, making recommendations to the SLT
*Conduct the monthly group stock valuations and provisions
*Delivering a range of commercial finance projects across the Group to support key strategic objectives
*Working alongside the Head of FP&A with the production of the Group budgets and forecasts
*Conduct the monthly gross margin review and reconciliations
*Calculate and process group GM provisions
*Monthly review of the groups’ product costing records and tracing errors back to source
*Assist with ensuring a smooth internal and external audit
*Maintenance and uploading of all stock costing information on to the ERP system
*Assist with leading and developing the management accounts team, ensuring the highest standards of performance whilst ensuring that the team are continually challenged and learn the ability to challenge
*Carrying out ad-hoc projects and reporting

My client is keen to find someone who is:
*ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified (Or later stages PQ)
*Experienced within a manufacturing/ FMCG background
*Stock reporting experience including stock valuations and provisions
*Confident and has exposure to management accounts preparation and costings 
*Able to work in a fast paced, ever changing, varied role
*Immediately available or available on very short notice
