Job Description:
A renowned consultancy, known for delivering high-quality services across various sectors, is seeking an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join their Birmingham team.
The successful Principal Designer will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and managing design risks for a diverse range of clients, including those in commercial, residential, retail, and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities of the CDM Principal Designer:
*Lead the implementation and compliance of CDM regulations across multiple projects.
*Provide expert advice on safety regulations and design risk management.
*Oversee the development of pre-construction information and construction phase plans.
*Conduct health and safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
*Facilitate design review meetings and workshops to ensure risk management is prioritised.
*Collaborate with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure effective communication of health and safety requirements.
Requirements for the CDM Principal Designer:
*Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
*NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
*In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and design risk management.
*Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent.
*Extensive experience in a senior or leadership role within a consultancy environment.
*Strong communication and leadership skills.
*Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with diverse teams.
