Futures are looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer for an innovative manufacture in South Yorkshire. This is a traditional design role where you will design products from first principles, as per the customer specification, monitor through production and help with troubleshooting when required. It is essential you have designed products for manufacture and have had some exposure to designing products from concept.

- Design and engineer products to uphold company best practices
- Ensure that new product designs and any cost reduction designs achieve the target cost price, required launch date, and meet and legislative criteria
- Maintain and create BOM, a product specification, and maintain the company ERP system
- Remain involved in whole lifecycle of a product: liaise with quality department through design process, support production teams during manufacture potentially training assembly operatives, and speak to suppliers/customers where necessary

Mechanical Design Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Mechanical Engineering, CAD, Manufacturing

- A mechanical engineering qualification
- Minimum five years experience, post University, of 3D modelling
- Great IT skills
