Laboratory Technician
Location: Leicester, UK
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: £14.20 to £16.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct material and product testing, including mechanical, chemical, and thermal analysis.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as tensile testers, spectrometers, and microscopes.
• Record, analyse, and report test results with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist in the development of new testing methods and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment.
What we’re Looking For
• A background in laboratory work, ideally within the aerospace, engineering, or materials sectors.
• A degree or qualification in a relevant scientific or technical field (e.g., Chemistry, Materials Science, or Engineering).
• Experience with laboratory testing methods and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP) is a plus.
• A proactive approach to maintaining safety and quality standards.
