About the Role:
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Burnley to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Year 4 Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in March 2025. The school is looking for a teacher who is passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The role is part-time, with specific working hours to be discussed at the interview stage.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons for Year 4 pupils
*Create an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment
*Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
*Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the school’s curriculum
*Support the personal and academic development of all pupils
*Adapt teaching methods to suit the diverse learning needs of students
*Prepare Year 4 pupils for their transition to the next stage of their education
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
*QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
*Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 4 preferred, but not essential)
*Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment strategies
*Passion for teaching and a commitment to pupil development
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team
*Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
