Job Description:
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness - 2 days onsite per week
Salary: £40k - £47k + overtime
What you’ll be doing - Mechanical Design Engineer
*Involved with the design of composite structures
*Calculations and reports
*Undertaking peer review checking activities to approve methods and calculations
*Supporting technical development and research activities,
*Supporting junior engineers within the team
*Supporting installation activities in the production environment
Your skills and experiences - Mechanical Design Engineer
*Mechanical Engineering Degree (or related STEM degree)
*Minimum of 2 years industry experience
*Understanding of material strength properties (elastic and plastic properties)
*Knowledge of MATLAB or MathCad
*Experienced in the use of SolidWorks or similar design package
All successful Mechanical Design Engineers will be contacted within 2 days of application
