Quest Search & Selection are partnering with this B2C business that has circa 2000 people employed nationally.
As an Assistant Accountant, you will assist in posting month-end journals and submitting monthly accounting reports and producing annual budgets and forecasts. You maybe part qualified, qualified or working towards your AAT Level 3 or 4.
Key Responsibilities of this Assistant Accountant :
*Generate monthly managerial financial statements according to the established reporting schedule for various business divisions.
*Produce annual budgets and forecasts.
*Support budget holders with analysis and review of the accounts.
*Create reconciliations for the balance sheet.
*Manage records of fixed assets.
*Prepare quarterly VAT returns
*Produce monthly journal postings
Requirements for this Assistant Accountant :
*At least 2 years’ + experience ideally within Financial/Commercial or Management Accounts
*Operating as a Management, Assistant, Executive or Coordinator level or above
*Proficiency with various software tools, including spreadsheet and database applications
*The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
*A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
*Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
*Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
