As a Quantity Surveyor you will be working on a variety of engineering projects, liaising with clients and operating under NEC contracts.
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for: 
*Preparing and managing cost estimates, budgets and project forecasts
*Overseeing the preparation of tenders and quotations ensuring that risks are identified and mitigated
*Setting up and managing projects under NEC contract
*Issuing early warning notices and managing variations and compensation events
*Developing key relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
*Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes
The Quantity Surveyor will need: 
*Previous experience working as a QS
*Construction, manufacturing or engineering industry experience in a commercial role
*Experience of NEC contracts
*Good communication skills with the ability to influence
*An understanding of manufacturing or engineering would be advantageous but not essential as this can be learnt.
*Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining repeat business
