We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Investment Operations Officer to join our clients Investment Operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth oversight of outsourced functions, and supporting project work, including data analysis and translating business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
*Outsourced Operations Oversight: Supervise custody, middle office, back office, and banking processes, ensuring KPIs are met.
*Client Onboarding: Manage the onboarding of new clients and accounts, ensuring operational requirements are fulfilled.
*Process Management: Maintain and update Investment Operations checklists and procedures.
*Issue Resolution: Escalate and resolve issues with external suppliers promptly.
*Management Information: Prepare and deliver management reports on a timely basis.
*System Administration: Administer key systems such as HSBCnet and in-house reporting platforms.

*Risk Management: Identify and escalate potential risks or exceptions, working with management to resolve issues effectively.
*Documentation and Reporting: Generate business requirements documentation and assist in the preparation of reports.
*Team Support: Provide cover and assist team members when needed.
*Project Work: Undertake projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Investment Operations Manager.
Experience and Skills Required
*Strong knowledge of custody relationship management and the end-to-end trade lifecycle (prioritizing these over custody account opening).
*Experience in third-party administration (TPA) operations is preferred over oversight, particularly for candidates without buyside operations experience.
*Familiarity with KPI oversight and reporting.
*Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to analyze and validate data using logic formulas.
*Solid understanding of equities is essential. Experience with fixed income and derivatives is a bonus.
*A degree is preferred, but strong candidates without a degree will be considered.
