Description
At Davies, the Programme Leads are responsible for overseeing a diverse range of Board sponsored, business-change projects.
The role requires strong organisation and management skills (people, tasks, resources) and delivery of concise reports on the status, costs and benefits delivered from each project. The Programme Lead will oversee projects commissioned by the Group Executive Committee [GEC] and as such will require proactive engagement with senior colleagues.
This role covers projects across the entire breadth of the enterprise and so some international travel may be required

Key Responsibilities *Responsible for overseeing all activities within your team, ensuring Project Managers are delivering a quality service and following Davies defined processes, methods, utilizing project tools, and executing stated project deliverables
*Manage and communicate the delivery of the programme including attending Portfolio Reviews and reviewing project data
*Budget management of the programme using Finance Trackers supplied by PMO, seeking change requests as appropriate
*Communicate overall progress of the project at relevant Steerco’s, including escalation and support the unblocking of issues
*Resource planning of current and upcoming projects
*Directly manage and lead a team by coaching and developing any direct line reports to ensure project delivery outputs are at the highest level
*Carry out general HR duties including performance plans, holiday and sickness management, and individual support for direct reports
*Oversight and management of any contract resources
*Support the overall growth and improvement of project management and the PMO within Davies by sharing best practice, managing lessons learned and promoting a continuous improvement mindset.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise *Seasoned project management and programme management experience, ideally in large, global and fast paced environments
*Certified in Programme/Project Management - MSP, Prince2, Agile, Lean etc.
*Certified People Leader or demonstrable people management experience
*Confident budget management and benefit realisation skills
*Able to provide examples of successfully delivering programmes with complex interdependencies and conflicting priorities
*Well-developed interpersonal skills resulting in confident representation of the project team with stakeholders inside and outside of Davies
*Commercially astute, pragmatic approach
