Responsibilities:
Regulatory Reporting:
*Prepare and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports in line with local and international standards (e.g., Basel III, IFRS, GAAP).
*Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and implement updates to reporting processes.
*Liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors, ensuring clear communication and compliance with their requirements.
*Analyze variances and trends in regulatory metrics, providing detailed explanations to stakeholders.
Financial Control:
*Develop and maintain robust financial control systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
*Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, and the month-end and year-end closing processes.
*Conduct risk assessments to identify weaknesses in financial control and implement corrective actions.
*Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and resolve findings.
Process Improvement:
*Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting and control processes.
*Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and practices to enhance the efficiency of financial operations.
Stakeholder Management:
*Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding regulatory reporting and financial control matters.
*Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on compliance, financial health, and risk management.
