Job Description:
Lead Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Manchester, England - Facilities Management - £38,000 Plus Fully Expensed Van
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the largest facilities management companies in the UK. We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated Lead Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our team in Manchester, offering a competitive salary and a fully expensed van.
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Location: Manchester, England
Salary: £38,000 Plus Fully Expensed Van
Role Responsibilities:
*Provide general electrical, HVAC, and building services maintenance support across all buildings and plant equipment.
*Implement electrical maintenance and corrective works on-site.
*Test and inspect electrical installations in line with National Inspection Council (NICEIC) documentation.
*Complete test sheets, routine rounds inspection sheets, and work dockets, recording durations and observations of maintenance activities.
*Ensure plant and systems are properly maintained and operated.
*Carry out refurbishment works arising from breakdowns or maintenance inspections.
*Respond to Helpdesk reactive maintenance/breakdown calls and carry out remedial work.
*Conduct condition-based monitoring surveys, carry out minor new installations, and perform testing.
The Ideal Candidate:
*Holds the 18th Edition Electrical C&G certificate (or willing to complete the course).
*Qualified to C&G 2360, or equivalent.
*C&G 2391 (Inspection and Test of Electrical Installations) qualification is advantageous.
*Experience or training in other building services disciplines (e.g., HVAC) would be an asset.
*Understanding of legislative compliance and contract law is preferred.
*Ability to implement and maintain high standards of excellence in quality, safety, and operational performance.
*Capable of obtaining the highest level of security clearance (currently DV).
