About Us:We are a small, energetic company focused on General Haulage using curtain sider trailers. Our team is committed and diligent, and we are seeking a similarly motivated individual with a positive attitude to join us. This role requires maximum hours and includes weekend work.
Shift Patterns:
*5 days a week
*4 on 4 off pattern available
*Part time set days or ad hoc
*Average Shift Length: 13 hours per day
Start Time: Between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM (must be flexible)
Compensation:
*£180 per shift (inclusive of all hours) Monday to Saturday
*£190 per shift (inclusive of all hours) on Sunday
Key Responsibilities:
*Operate a curtain side lorry to transport goods to various destinations
*Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and compliance with safety regulations, use of pump trucks no handballing required.
*Conduct vehicle inspections for mechanical issues and safety concerns
*Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
*Accurately complete all delivery documentation
*Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle
*Comply with traffic laws and regulations
Requirements:
*Excellent driving record with no traffic violations
*Valid LGV C+E licence
*Valid CPC / DQC Card
*Valid Digital tachograph card
*Minimum of 2 years LGV C+E experience
*Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including occasional lifting of heavy objects and driving long distances
*Excellent organisational and time management skills
*Strong communication and customer service skills
*Willingness to undergo training to familiarise with trailers and equipment
