Are you an Accounts Assistant looking for month end experience?
I am delighted to be partnering with an exceptional organisation seeking an Assistant Accountant to be based in their West End London office.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in booking financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping and Record Management
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable/receivable
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
- Reconcile supplier statements and ensure any pending items are duly followed up with stakeholders.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure transactions are properly documented.
Reporting:
- Responsible for preparation of month-end finance pack schedules (Aged Payables, Aged Receivables, Bank & Cash).
- Assist in preparing month-end finance pack schedules (Prepayments, Accruals, Control Accounts).
- General support in forecasting and budgeting process, analysis and ongoing reporting.
Systems and Procedures:
- Input financial data into accounting software (MS Dynamics 365 - Business Central).
- Support ongoing improvement of financial processes and systems.
General Support:
- Respond to internal and external queries regarding financial matters (auditors, stakeholders, etc.).
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify areas of improvement.
The role will involve month end work and the client is happy to train up for those in transactional finance roles.
It is desirable candidates have prior accounts experience. Arabic/German language skills would be lovely as well but not essential for this role.
