Job Description:
George Baker is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing team. This role will provide valuable experience in a fast-paced environment, supporting various financial operations within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Invoicing:
*Assist in the processing and issuance of invoices to customers, ensuring adherence to agreed timelines and company procedures.
*Support the management of invoicing for self-billing customers.
*Assist in the collection and organisation of Proof of Delivery (POD) and other relevant documentation for invoices.
*Assist with the tracking and management of customer Purchase Order (PO) numbers.
*Provide basic support in resolving customer invoice-related queries.
Purchase Invoice Processing:
*Assist in the processing and verification of vendor invoices.
*Assist in resolving basic discrepancies related to purchase invoices.
Fleet Cost Support:
*Assist in the collection and organisation of data related to fleet costs.
*Provide basic support in the validation of fleet costs against contracts and agreements.
General Finance Support:
*Assist with general finance administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and report preparation.
*Support other members of the finance team as needed.
You’ll need:
*Previous experience in a similar role essential
*Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
*Proficiency in financial software (e.g., accounting software, Excel)
*Attention to detail and accuracy
*Ability to analyse financial data and identify trends
*Strong problem-solving skills
*Ability to reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies
*Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
*Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
*Teamwork and collaboration skills
*Time management skills
*Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
*Strong organisational skills to maintain accurate records
