Job Description:
A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Finance to lend support and leadership to a key division at a NHS acute trust while it goes through a period of change.
As the Head of Finance you will be responsible for leading the strategic financial planning agenda and programme for the division, which includes developing financial strategies and business plans. As a result, you will be the key liaison point in finance, and will provide professional guidance and support to senior managers, including the presentation of business cases and financial plans to Executive Directors. Additionally, you will play an important part in the development and implementation of organisation wide financial improvements and efficiencies.
You should be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, with substantial post qualification experience of financial management in a healthcare environment, where you will have worked with senior stakeholders. Ideally, you will have both clinical and non-clinical finance experience, and be able to demonstrate the skills to persuade and influence the financial direction of the organisation. Strong communication skills are essential as you’ll need to rapidly develop effective working relationships in a fast paced environment.
This role offers a great opportunity to help develop the financial support service delivered by the team and take them to the next level.
