About the Role As the Workday Systems Accountant, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the organisation’s financial systems. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise systems for reporting and analysis, while providing hands-on support for the implementation of Workday Financials.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and enhance the organisation’s financial systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with accounting standards.

* Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement new financial software or upgrades to existing systems, with a focus on Workday Financials.

* Provide training and support to staff on the use of financial systems and reporting tools.

* Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

* Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within financial operations.

* Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to financial systems.

* Interpret complex financial data and prepare comprehensive reports to support decision-making.

What We’re Looking For * A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

* A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 1 year in a systems or IT-related role.

* Experience with Workday Financials is essential.

* Professional accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) are highly desirable.

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

* A proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to anticipate the information needs of the business.

* The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
