Job Title: Youth Worker
Location: Norwich
Hourly Pay: £13 - £14.50
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Worker to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of young people. As a Youth Worker, you will work closely with young individuals, providing support, guidance, and mentoring to help them develop essential life skills and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
*Engage and build relationships with young people, establishing trust and rapport
*Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational, educational, and social activities
*Provide individual and group support to address the needs and challenges faced by young individuals
*Promote positive behavior, personal growth, and self-esteem in young people
*Offer advice, guidance, and mentoring to help young people make informed decisions and set achievable goals
*Collaborate with parents, schools, and community organizations to provide comprehensive support
*Ensure the safety and well-being of young people during all activities
Requirements:
*Bachelor’s degree in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
*Proven experience working with young people in a youth work, community development, or similar role
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
*Understanding of the challenges faced by young people and ability to provide appropriate support
*Ability to engage and connect with young individuals from diverse backgrounds
*Strong organizational and time management skills
*Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with young people
*Knowledge of relevant youth support services and resources
