Job Description:
Pertemps are seeking a dedicated and responsible 7.5-ton Driver/loader to join our client in Edinburgh West. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our residents and visitors by supporting cleansing services across the area.
Location: Edinburgh West
Hours of Work: Mon-Fri 06.45-14.42 with 45min break
Rate of Pay: £13.48 per hour rising to £13.61 as of week 13
Temporary ongoing work
Key Responsibilities: *Safely operate 7.5-ton vehicles as part of the street cleansing service.
*Adhere to designated routes and schedules to ensure timely completion of collections.
*Perform vehicle checks, report any faults or maintenance needs, and ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle.
*Assist the cleansing crew with loading, unloading, and managing waste when necessary.
*Engage courteously with the public when required, representing the department in a professional manner.
*Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures to maintain high standards of service.
What We’re Looking For: *Valid UK driving license with C1 category (7.5-ton vehicle) along with valid CPC qualification card and Tacho card.
*Previous experience in driving large vehicles
*A good understanding of health and safety practices relevant to vehicle operation.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
*Physical fitness - the role requires manual handling and assisting with lifting and moving heavy objects
