Disease Associate Solicitor About the Role
Ouy client is seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join their Disease Litigation team based in Liverpool. The team handles a wide range of industrial disease cases for large insurer and corporate clients.
You will manage a caseload of litigated claims, including noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL), HAVS, upper limb disorders, and asbestos-related injuries. Additionally, you will support Partners and Principal Associates with complex cases, offering exposure to a diverse and rewarding workload.
Key Responsibilities *Manage litigated disease claims efficiently and independently.
*Support senior colleagues on high-value, complex cases.
*Draft strategies, pleadings, and reports.
*Conduct legal research and investigations.
*Liaise with clients, counsel, and other parties.
*Attend conferences, court, and client meetings.
*Contribute to business development and client relationship initiatives.
*Meet financial, quality, and client service targets.
About You The ideal candidate will have:
*Proven experience handling NIHL, HAVS/WRULD, and asbestos-related claims.
*Litigation expertise with strong technical skills.
*A paralegal, Legal Executive, or Solicitor qualification (up to three years’ PQE preferred).
*A proactive, client-focused, and solution-driven approach.
*Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
*Experience with business development is desirable but not essential.
