Description
The Financial Accountant will:
*Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
*Conduct variance analysis and report on key performance indicators
*Manage fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation calculations
*Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
*Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
*Collaborate with various departments to improve financial processes
*Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed
*Implement and maintain robust internal controls
*Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
Profile
The Financial Accountant:
*(ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 3 years post-qualification experience
*Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
*Proficient in ERP systems, preferably SAP
*Advanced Excel skills
*Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
*Strong communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
*Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
*Experience with lean accounting principles would be advantageous
