On behalf of our client, Zest are seeking a skilled and dedicated Criminal Solicitor to join their highly regarded Criminal Department. This specialist team is known for its expertise in handling a wide range of criminal cases, from serious crimes to day-to-day legal matters.
About the Firm
The firm’s Criminal Department is led by two experienced directors and supported by a talented team of solicitors, trainee solicitors, and police station representatives. Together, they provide comprehensive legal advice and representation to clients facing a variety of criminal offences, including:
*Serious Crimes: Murder, sexual offences, grievous bodily harm (GBH), and actual bodily harm (ABH)
*Property Crimes: Burglary, theft, shoplifting, and criminal damage
*Fraud and Financial Crimes: Serious fraud and related offences
*Drug Offences: Drug possession, trafficking, and related charges
*Public Order and Violent Crimes: Violent disorder, affray, and public order offences
*Traffic Offences: Driving under the influence, road traffic violations, and more
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Criminal Defence Solicitor to join a close-knit and supportive team. Key responsibilities include:
*Advising and representing clients across a diverse caseload of criminal matters
*Preparing and presenting cases in court, while liaising effectively with clients, law enforcement, and other legal professionals
*Supporting the development of junior team members, including trainee solicitors and police station representatives
*Ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and client care
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will possess:
*Qualification as a solicitor with expertise in criminal law
*Strong advocacy and case preparation skills
*Ideally be Police Station accredited
*Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
