Job Description:
JOB - CAD Technician
LOCATION - Milton Keynes
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £28,000 to £32,000 per annum
Premier Engineering is working with a forward-thinking Engineering company based in Milton Keynes. They are looking to expand their team by hiring a CAD Technician to support their exciting range of projects.
The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
*Proven experience as a CAD Technician within an engineering, construction, or manufacturing environment.
*Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
*Strong understanding of engineering drawings and design principles.
*Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for CAD design.
*A relevant engineering or design qualification (HNC, HND, or equivalent).
*Experience with Acrylic and Timber would be advantageous but not essential.
*Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
The CAD Technician role will involve:
*Producing detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for projects across various sectors.
*Working closely with engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality designs.
*Ensuring all drawings meet the required technical and safety standards.
*Making revisions to drawings based on feedback and updates from the engineering team.
*Assisting with the creation of Bill of Materials (BOMs) and project documentation.
*Supporting the design team with any additional tasks as required.
