Description
*Develop and implement HSE strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
*Establish policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace
*Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
*Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures
*Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation
*Initiate and organise training of employees and executives
*Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances, etc.
*Report on HSE performance and suggest improvements
Profile
A successful HSE Manager should have:
*A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related field
*A professional qualification in health and safety
*Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
*Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
*Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
*Proficiency in MS Office
*Strong attention to detail
*Excellent communication skills with a clear ability to work well with others
