About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a leading construction company in Manchester. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and overseeing all aspects of the financial management and contractual management of construction projects. Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare, negotiate, and analyse costs for tenders and contracts.
*Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
*Conduct risk, value management, and cost control.
*Provide advice on contractual claims.
*Prepare and submit financial reports to clients and stakeholders.
*Liaise with the project team, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
*Oversee procurement processes, including the selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
*Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
*Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors.
Key Requirements:
*Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
*Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
*Proficiency in cost estimating, budget management, and financial reporting.
*Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
*Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or working towards chartership is highly desirable.
*Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
