Job Description:
eCommerce Delivery Manager
Location: Mint House, Royston, Hertfordshire, Hybrid.
At Hotel Chocolat, we’re on a mission to make people happy through chocolate, and we’re looking for a talented eCommerce Delivery Manager to join our digital team. In this critical role, you’ll drive outcome-focused eCommerce systems changes that will enable profitable sales growth and deliver a best-in-class customer experience across all our digital platforms.
As the eCommerce Delivery Manager, you’ll report to the Head of Digital Product and work closely with cross-functional teams in IT, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance. Together, you’ll shape and manage our eCommerce project roadmap, ensuring each initiative aligns with business goals and customer needs. You’ll collaborate with internal and external resources, architects, and developers to translate requirements into actionable plans and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
What You’ll Be Doing…
*Oversee and deliver on a portfolio of eCommerce projects, proactively identifying and resolving blockers to keep projects on track.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, working collaboratively with ecommerce delivery team and external integration partners to ensure seamless project delivery.
*Develop detailed project plans to ensure smooth integration of all activities and identification of dependencies.
*Take a continuous approach to planning, forecasting, estimating, and road mapping, with metrics to measure progress and success.
*Manage project budgets, risks, and resources proactively in partnership with internal teams.
*Ensure cross-functional resources are identified, roles are clearly understood and committed to project timelines.
*Maintain and develop user testing scripts, conducting thorough user testing on various devices and browsers.
*Maintain support documentation to ensure consistency and clarity in website processes and business rules.
Who You Are…
*Experienced Project Manager: You have solid experience in project management, especially with cross-functional eCommerce or digital delivery teams.
*Agile and Adaptable: You’re skilled at introducing agile and lean practices, with a flexible approach to planning and project delivery.
*Digitally Fluent: Strong understanding of digital and integrations architecture, with experience in the retail sector.
*Customer-Centric: You recognize the importance of an exceptional customer experience and are focused on making digital interactions as smooth as possible.
*Collaborative and Transparent: You create an open, collaborative work environment and ensure all project work is clear and accessible to external stakeholders.
*Proactive and Solution-Oriented: You don’t shy away from challenges and approach obstacles with a hands-on, practical mindset. Be able to influence effectively to ensure teams are working cohesively and hitting project milestones.
Essential Skills and Experience:
*Proven project management experience.
*Experience in leading cross-functional delivery teams with internal and external stakeholders.
*Strong knowledge of agile and lean methodologies.
*Understanding of digital and integration architecture.
*Retail environment experience and a customer-centric approach.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
*Experience working within a premium brand.
*Strong retail sector experience.
