The job.
The Commercial Analyst will be responsible for understanding & providing insight on business revenue, commercial opportunities, operations and overheads with a view to suggesting improvements and providing insight into the strategic direction of the business.? The role will work cross-departmentally to increase business effectiveness by creating easy to use reports and providing insights across the business.?
Responsibilities and deliverables.
*Develop strong working relationships across all business departments to provide analysis on market opportunities, sales channels, and revenue to create models & identify insights that will help shape business strategy.
*Work closely with marketing & commercial managers and other team members in providing data-backed recommendations to support effective decision making.
*Use Power BI to analyse and review reports on commercial data, such as sales trends, and create and provide proactive recommendations.
*Use statistical skills for financial forecasting; understand the value chain of the organisation and suggest probability forecasts.
*Develop a strong understanding of a product driven business to provide insights into the relationship between key customers and product ranges that will drive growth.
*Provide data leadership to department heads to increase their effectiveness.
The candidate.
*2 - 4 years’ experience in a similar data analytics role.
*Bachelor’s degree in business or analytical field preferred.
*2 - 4 years’ experience using Power BI & SQL.
*Highly collaborative and able to work across all functions to achieve sales and business goals.
*(Desirable) Knowledge of a programming language such as Python, R...
*Experienced Microsoft Office user skills - especially Excel.
