Job Description:
We are assisting a Local Authority in the appointment of an experienced Social Work Assistant to join their Children’s Social Work Team in Birmingham!
Hybrid Working - Minimum two days in the office, with the remainder home-based.
As a Social Work Assistant, you will work closely with social workers and families to provide vital support for children in care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
*Assisting social workers in their day-to-day duties to support children and families.
*Carrying out joint visits with social workers to meet the needs of children in care.
*Supervising family time sessions between children and their parents/carers.
*Engaging in direct work with children to understand their experiences, wishes, and feelings.
*Supporting parents and foster carers to ensure children’s needs are met.
To be a successful candidate for this role you must have the following:
*Experience of direct work with Children.
*Full UK Drivers License.
