About the Role:
My client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Group Financial Controller to lead and create a Group Finance Function. This is a critical role reporting directly to the SMT and PE Backers and will be instrumental in driving financial performance and operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on leader with a proven track record of transformation and change management.
Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee all aspects of the group’s financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
*Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
*Drive process improvements and implement best practices across the finance function.
*Manage the relationship with external auditors and other key stakeholders.
*Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
*Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s financial strategy.
*Work closely with the private equity investors, providing timely and accurate financial information.
Qualifications and Experience:
*3+ years of experience as a Group Financial Controller in a multi-divisional SME structure.
*Extensive experience in leading and executing finance team and process transformations (change management).
*Deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
*Experience managing cash flow in a private equity-backed environment.
*Experience working with complex ERP systems.
*Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
*A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
