Job Description:
Designated Safeguarding Lead
*Location: Hampshire
*Type: Full time
*Reporting to: Director of Student Experience
*Salary: £45,000 per annum
Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Hampshire.
Role Purpose *Ensure all students, especially vulnerable ones, receive top-level safeguarding and wellbeing support.
*Develop and implement strategies that improve student health, attendance, and success.
*Work with leadership to assess and improve safeguarding services using data and feedback.
Main Duties *Lead and manage the safeguarding team, providing guidance and performance appraisals.
*Act as the main safeguarding contact, ensuring all procedures meet legal requirements.
*Oversee and improve safeguarding interventions to boost student attendance and success.
*Manage safeguarding records, ensuring timely support for students in need.
*Organize training for staff to improve safeguarding awareness and student support.
*Collaborate with safeguarding leads across campuses to maintain a consistent approach.
Requirements *Previous relevant safeguarding experience
*Experience managing a team
*Able to start ASAP
*Enhanced DBS
*Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
*Ability to maintain effective working relationships
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Right to work in the UK
