Property Manager
3 month Contract
Up to £70k pro rata
Start dates ASAP
Location: Birmingham City Centre
Job Purpose
Manage the University’s property portfolio, including leases, property titles, landlord-tenant relations, service charges, and strategic property planning. Act as the Estates and Facilities property specialist, advising senior management, leading contract negotiations, overseeing valuations, lettings, investment appraisals, and developing strategic business cases.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee property acquisitions and disposals in line with financial and legal regulations.
Assess business cases for property acquisition, space utilisation, and consolidation, ensuring cost-effective decisions.
Develop and manage financial plans, budgets, and expenditure forecasts.
Ensure legal compliance, including Health & Safety, across leased properties.
Maintain and manage all legal property documents.
Oversee all property leases, ensuring compliance with obligations and regulations.
Manage leased spaces, including contracts and landlord obligations.
Conduct and oversee property valuations for rating and insurance.
Liaise with consultants on property rights, legal obligations, and investment properties.
Advise on dilapidation’s, defects, rent reviews, and demise plans.
Support the University’s sustainability efforts to reduce waste, energy use, and carbon footprint.
