Job Description:
Operations Manager, Tailormade Tours - Sydney, Australia Are you an experienced Operations Manager in travel looking for your next challenge? We are recruiting for an Ops Manager to join a dynamic team to ensure exceptional service delivery. Based in Sydney, hybrid is considered for the right person paying $70,000 to $110,000 plus Super.
Operations Manager, Key Responsibilities
*Lead and manage the tour coordinators team to ensure timely performance and high-quality service delivery.
*Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure top-notch service standards.
*Ensure customer satisfaction by anticipating needs, resolving issues proactively, and enhancing the overall travel experience.
*Oversee coach logistics and liaise with coach operators, drivers, and tour guides.
*Troubleshoot and solve any operational issues that arise during tours.
*Ensure compliance with legal regulations, including licensing and health & safety.
*Manage tour budgets effectively, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimise operational processes.
*Work closely with the Managing Director to meet budgets and yearly goals.
Operations Manager Skills Required
*Previous experience in tour operations management or a related field.
*Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide a diverse team.
*Extensive understanding of the Australian tourism market, preferably in inbound travel.
*Knowledge of key Australian accommodation providers, activity operators, and transport providers.
*Adaptability and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
*Enthusiastic and motivated with a strong work ethic and a desire to grow within the business.
*Experience with ’Tourplan’ software is advantageous.
*German OR Spanish language skills are helpful but not essential.
