Role Overview:
As a Chef Cook in a nursing and residential care home, you will be responsible for providing nutritious, delicious meals for elderly residents. The position is based in Fakenham and involves preparing meals that are a key part of residents’ daily routines.
Key details:
*Prepare healthy meals and snacks, ensuring residents’ dietary needs are met
*Create and plan menus
*Lead a team of kitchen assistants
*Work closely with care staff to accommodate individual dietary needs
*Full-time working hours with a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends (rota provided 4 weeks in advance)
*Salary: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour (paid breaks)

Requirements:
*Food Hygiene Certification - Level 2
*NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation or Catering
*First Aid Certification
*Experience as a chef in a care home setting is essential
*Knowledge of nutrition and special dietary requirements
*Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
*Experience in menu planning and using seasonal ingredients
