Trainee Chartered Accountant
Location: Axminster
Salary: DOE, with full study support
About the Role:
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated individual to join my client in their Axminster office as a Trainee Chartered Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to develop a successful career in accountancy while working towards their ACA qualification. You will gain hands-on experience in a supportive and professional environment, working with a diverse range of clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and accounts for a variety of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
* Supporting senior team members in providing tax compliance and advisory services.
* Conducting audits and assurance work under the guidance of experienced professionals.
* Preparing VAT returns and management accounts.
* Liaising with clients to provide high-quality service and build strong professional relationships.
* Keeping up to date with accounting and tax regulations through continued professional development.
What We’re Looking For:
* A degree in a relevant subject (such as Accounting, Finance, or Business) is preferred but not essential. Alternatively, strong A-level results with a commitment to pursuing a career in accountancy.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
* A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
