*Head of Risk & Compliance (Professional Services ideal but not essential)

Our client is a very well-established, small to medium sized, global business based in central Manchester. As part of their exciting expansion plans, they are seeking a Head of Risk & Compliance - this is a newly created position.

The role

Reporting directly to the Chair of the Risk & Compliance Committee and the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for:
*Effectively designing and building a robust, new risk management framework and embedding with in the business
*Effectively designing and executing an audit plan for the business
*Engaging senior level stakeholders to take them on a ’risk journey’ and driving a risk management culture with full support and backing from the board
*This is effectively a ’greenfield site’ and a chance to really ’put your own slant on it’
*Engaging with senior stakeholders to support the identification and management of key risks and to promote effective governance, risk management, control and assurance.
*Developing an effective and proportionate risk framework, that aligns with the Group’s strategic objectives and risk appetite.
*Developing the internal audit and compliance methodology and plan
*Preparing clear, concise, and timely audit reports.
*Reporting to the Risk and Compliance Committee and the
Group Company boards.
*Developing a high performing compliance and internal audit team across the business
The Person

-IRM/ACA/ACCA/ Internal Audit Qualification will be of particular interest but is not essential
- Knowledge of developing and embedding risk management frameworks from scratch will also be of particular interest
