Davies has been PE-backed since 2007 and is currently owned by BC Partners, HGGC, AIMCo, management and staff.

The Claims Director -Casualty will assume overall responsibility for the operations of our Casualty claim handling & adjusting divisions in the UK & Ireland. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the Casualty TPA & Adjusting market. The Claims Director will be accountable for driving operational excellence, optimising processes, ensuring compliance, exceptional customer service and achieving strategic growth within the designated divisions. The Claims Director will have experience in leading an operational management team responsible for multiple services and work types. (Total headcount currently circa 180FTE).

The successful candidate will have significant experience in leading large business divisions and driving successful integrations in a fast paced and regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership:
*1.1. Develop and execute operational strategies, plans, and policies to achieve divisional goals.
*1.2. Provide guidance and mentorship to the divisional team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Drive an inclusive and engaged culture with a focus on people wellbeing and development.
*1.3. Succession and development plans in place throughout the business. Horizon scanning for future needs of the business and our leaders.
*1.4. Streamline processes, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality within the division.
2. Strategic Planning and Execution: *2.1. Collaborate with the COO and the leadership team to define divisional objectives and contribute to the overall corporate strategy.
*2.2. Conduct market analysis and identify growth opportunities within the casualty market.
*2.3. Devise a plan to be best in class in the insurance and Corporate focused casualty handling market, benchmarking against competitor performance to support the drive to new client wins and strong retention of clients.
*2.4. Develop and implement strategic initiatives, business plans, and budgets to drive performance and achieve the revenue target.
3. Financial Management: *3.1. Oversee financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
*3.2. Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and take proactive measures to achieve financial targets.
*3.3. Oversee the delivery of group wide initiatives within the casualty division ensuring that the deliver on value and cost saving agreed within budgets.
*3.4. Implement strategies to improve revenue generation, cost optimisation, and profitability.
4. Change Management and Change Behaviours: *4.1. Lead change management initiatives within the division, ensuring smooth transitions and minimising disruption.
*4.2. Foster a culture of change by encouraging and promoting behaviours that support organisational growth and adaptation.
*4.3. Champion innovation and continuous improvement, driving a mindset of agility and flexibility.
5. Risk Management and Compliance: *5.1. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
*5.2. Identify and mitigate operational and regulatory risks, implementing effective risk management protocols.
*5.3. Stay updated on compliance, and market trends, providing guidance and recommendations to senior management.
6. Stakeholder Management: *6.1. Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
*6.2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, promoting effective communication and alignment of goals.
*6.3. Represent the organisation in industry forums, conferences, and events, enhancing its reputation and influence.
7. Digital First *7.1. Future proofing the business through the strategic implementation of automation and AI technologies to remain competitive and relevant in both the legal and claims.
*7.2. Leverage one claims management platform to deliver seamless customer service.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise *Highly motivated individual who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment yet understands how to harness the power of a large corporate.
*Extensive leadership experience within the casualty claims and adjusting industry.
*Proven track record of successfully managing complex operations within a multi-divisional environment.
*In-depth understanding of casualty claims, including regulatory frameworks and emerging trends.
*Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence teams and stakeholders.
*Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
*Financial acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cost control and resource allocation.
*Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth through excellence and achieving financial targets.
*Change management expertise with the ability to lead and facilitate organisational change.
