Job Description:
*Annual Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
*Location: Midlands, predominantly around Birmingham
*Job Type: Full-time
Join a well-established Mechanical and Electrical Contractor with over 50 years of excellence in the construction industry. We are seeking a skilled HVAC Engineer to work on both reactive and planned maintenance across a variety of settings including commercial and domestic environments.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Conduct reactive maintenance tasks such as identifying and rectifying leaks, replacing faulty parts in plumbing systems, and troubleshooting issues with boilers and heating systems.
*Perform planned maintenance checks and services on systems including boilers, hot and cold water supplies, heating, and ventilation.
*Work closely with the Customer Care team to schedule post-project completion visits during the defect period.
*Provide high-quality maintenance and small works for local businesses.
*Ensure effective communication and reporting back to the office regarding material requirements and client updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum of five years relevant experience in construction, specifically in installation or maintenance.
*NVQ in Plumbing – both domestic and commercial.
*NVQ in Heating and Ventilation.
*Gas Safe Qualified (Domestic as a minimum).
*Possession of a relevant trade CSCS skills card.
*Full UK Driver’s License.
*Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work respectfully and communicate effectively in client homes and offices.
*Ability to work independently and proactively, making informed decisions as needed.
*Positive and friendly outlook.
Benefits:
*Competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000.
*Standard working hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with one hour for lunch.
*25 days holiday plus statutory 8 days.
