Exciting Role for a DevOps Engineer in Ipswich - Hybrid Working
This position is not just about maintaining the status quo; it’s about building and supporting on premise development infrastructure and creating procedures that align IT operations and development. The role requires a forward-thinking approach to building a more open and accessible infrastructure, with the ability to add scalability to the business’s IT estate.
In your new role you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between development and operations. Your focus will be on automating, optimising, and streamlining deployment and infrastructure management processes with the aim of enhancing system reliability, scalability, and performance while fostering a culture of collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production and UAT server builds.
2. Building, maintaining, and automating CI/CD pipelines.
3. Git administration.
4. Creation and administration of a container environment.
5. Software and server monitoring.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Commercial Experience: Proven experience in DevOps or systems administration (on premise estates)
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Git, Node, and GitLab.
- System Expertise: Strong understanding of Windows and Linux systems and networking concepts.
- Containerisation Knowledge: Ideally, familiarity with Docker Swarms or Kubernetes and Docker build processes.
