Job Description:
Broster Buchanan are exclusively working with a growing Manufacturing business based in Newmarket, this is a great opportunity for a Part qualified Accountant to make the next steps in their career.
*Act as a financial partner to the Site MD and operational teams, translating financial data into meaningful insights that support decision-making.
*Provide financial guidance to help optimize production efficiency, cost structures, and operational workflows.
*Drive site gross margin and non-productive spend initiatives, ensuring profitability improvements are realized.
*Identify opportunities to improve inventory management, cash flow, and working capital.
*Support ongoing strategic projects, ensuring financial feasibility and effective implementation.
*Enhance financial awareness across the site by working closely with management to align financial goals with operational performance.
Management & Financial Accounting
*Prepare and review key financial reports, ensuring accuracy and relevance to site management.
*Perform job costing analysis, investigate variances, and ensure accurate financial reporting at job level.
*Lead financial forecasting and annual budgeting processes, aligning with MM Group timelines and strategic objectives.
*Prepare and submit accruals, prepayments, and other general ledger entries with robust supporting documentation.
*Work with the GL Accountant to maintain the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring accuracy in asset additions, disposals, and depreciation
