Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnered with a market leading Manufacturer in their search for an Operations Manager. The role is responsible for driving overall department performance and output, whilst ensuring Health Safety & Environment, Quality, Delivery & Cost Control targets are met. 

Responsibilities: 
*Ensure delivery performance meets all targets on a daily basis utilizing all relevant tools and measures; initiate solutions to prevent/minimise failure
*Drive continuous improvement on quality, RFT and customer specifications through quality procedures and process control. Analyse and interpret data for problem resolution and improvement
*Ensure all cost objectives are met through control, efficiency and spend improvements
*Develop high performing teams within Business Unit, thorough training, leadership and communication; engage teams in all aspects of their areas and responsibilities. Manage team attendance, time keeping and discipline issues
*Be accountable for all management reporting requirements, and ensure that the required data is complete, accurate and provided in a timely manner
*Support the production, development and implementation of strategic plan to achieve company’s objectives
*Responsible for team performing final processing and ensuring conformance on product prior to shipping to the customer
Requirements for the role:
*Experience in leading medium sized manufacturing teams at high performance levels
*Ability to produce detailed, measurable action plans and manage escalation to successful outcomes
*Understanding and practical experience in tools for Health Safety & Environment, Quality, Delivery & Cost Control in a manufacturing environment
*Technical ability to work in a heavy engineering environment
*Experience of managing and meeting operational budgets
*Knowledge of metallurgy and NDT and Logistics would be desirable
*Proven ability in effectively implementing ideas for process/system/business improvements to increase efficiency or reduce variable costs
