Walker Cole International is searching for a Head of Quality Control to join an established Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) based in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the QC function within a fast-paced and growing business that supports pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies with the development and manufacturing of drug products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Quality Control function, ensuring compliance with GMP regulations and internal quality standards.

* Develop and implement QC strategies to support product release, stability studies, and raw material testing.

* Ensure laboratory operations adhere to regulatory guidelines (MHRA, FDA, ICH) and maintain a state of inspection readiness.

* Work cross-functionally with QA, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to drive continuous improvement in analytical methods and quality systems.

The successful candidate will have:
* Extensive experience working in a GMP-regulated Quality Control laboratory within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.

* Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop high-performing QC teams.

* Strong knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, and dissolution testing.

* Experience in handling regulatory inspections and audits from agencies such as MHRA and FDA.
