We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Fostering Team Manager with the following:
? Experience in fostering services - ideally with a focus on fostering, recruitment, and assessment ??
? Experience of achieving performance targets and delivering service development �?
? Experience of managing teams and ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and performance standards ??
? Ability to work collaboratively with the Head of Service and contribute to strategic planning ?????
? Flexibility and adaptability in approach, with a commitment to continuous professional development ??
Our fostering service is undergoing exciting changes ??, and we are looking for an experienced Fostering Team Manager to join our dedicated team and help us drive the service forward. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic leader to make a real difference in the fostering system and contribute to the continuous development of the service.
About the Role:
As a Fostering Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing two teams, providing supervision to both mainstream and kinship foster carers �?, and leading the recruitment and assessment services. You will also supervise two Practice Managers and the Fostering Recruitment and Development Manager, ensuring that high standards are maintained and legislative and regulatory requirements are met.
Your key responsibilities will include:
?? Managing a team that includes Practice Managers, Supervising Social Workers, and Assessment Social Workers ????????
?? Overseeing the development of the fostering service, including recruitment, assessments, reviews, referrals, placements, and foster carer development ??
?? Supervising the Fostering Recruitment and Development Manager
?? Contributing to the development of the fostering panel and ensuring effective panel scheduling ??
?? Working closely with Children’s Services colleagues and external partners to achieve the best outcomes for children and families �?
?? Strategic planning and contributing to the management team of the fostering service ??
?? Keeping up-to-date with developments in fostering, adoption, and Special Guardianship care ??
