Robert Half Technology are assisting a market leading fintech organisation to recruit a SOC Engineer on a contract basis. Hybrid working - London based
Role
*The SOC Engineer will optimise alerts and SOC configurations to enhance risk management efficiency and effectiveness.
*Work with Datadog (our primary observability tool) and integrate it effectively with our SIEM solutions.
*Improve SOC processes and workflows, ensuring smooth and streamlined operations.
*Assess and refine existing security monitoring, detection, and response strategies.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven security solutions.
*Provide mentorship and guidance to less-experienced team members.
*Take a proactive approach to threat detection, response, and mitigation.
Profile
*Proven experience in Security Operations, with a strong background in SOC optimisation.
*Hands-on expertise in security monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
*Strong working knowledge of SIEM tools and experience with Datadog is a plus.
*Ability to analyse and fine-tune security alerts for efficiency and accuracy.
*Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
*Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
*Self-starter who can roll up their sleeves and drive improvements.
