Job Description:
Churchill Howard are working with a established and growing Finance Services firm based in Birmingham who are looking for a Regulatory Accountant. This role involves preparing and reviewing regulatory reports such as Own Funds, Leverage, and Large Exposures, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You’ll own the Pillar 3 disclosure process, collaborate with key stakeholders, and help improve reporting through automation and process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and review regulatory returns with accuracy.
* Identify and escalate any changes or issues to management.
* Own the reporting process from creation to submission.
* Present reports to stakeholders, highlighting key changes and trends.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate data collection.
* Research regulations and guidance to ensure compliance.
* Improve and automate reporting processes where possible.
* Maintain documentation for reporting procedures.
What You’ll Need:
* Experience in financial or regulatory reporting (preferred).
* Financial services experience (desirable).
* Strong Excel skills (macros and data analysis are a plus).
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
