As a Copywriter, you will play a crucial role in drafting, tailoring, and optimizing high-quality web copy that aligns with SEO best practices and accessibility standards to enhance visibility, engagement, and inclusivity.
Day-to-day of the role: *Collaborate with internal teams across the organisation, including digital, policy, and marketing colleagues.
*Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to gather input and feedback for content development.
*Provide advice and guidance on web copy best practices and SEO principles.
*Create high-quality, engaging, and accessible web content tailored to diverse audience needs.
*Ensure all content follows SEO best practices, including keyword integration and metadata optimization.
*Review and audit existing web content, identifying opportunities for improvement.
*Use analytics tools to measure content performance and refine strategies for improved outcomes.
*Manage content on our websites using a content management system.
*Keep abreast of new developments, trends, and technologies in communications and marketing.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *A degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
*Practical experience in a similar role.
*Strong understanding of SEO principles and accessibility standards.
*Exceptional writing and editing skills.
*Proficiency in using analytics and SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
*Experience using content management systems (CMS); experience in Umbraco is desirable but not essential.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
